Privacy Policy

Your account details (email, display name, password — stored hashed), what you add to the platform (product listings, budgets, commitments, receipts you upload), and basic usage analytics (pages visited, aggregated — not sold ad profiles).

To run the service: matching buyers with builders, reviewing receipts to verify first customers, keeping your account secure, and sending you transactional email such as confirmation and password-reset messages.

We don’t sell your personal data. We don’t run ads.

Because purchases happen directly between buyer and builder, we never see or store your payment card details. The only purchase information we hold is the receipt a buyer chooses to upload for verification.

The service providers that host GatherFin — Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting and analytics) — process data on our behalf. GatherFin administrators see uploaded receipts in order to review them. Beyond that, we only disclose data if the law requires it.

Some of what you post is public by design: live product listings are visible to visitors, and verified first-customer status may be shown on the platform.

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you want your account and its data deleted, email us and we’ll take care of it, except where we’re required to retain something.

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and database access is restricted with row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with care.

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and publish the new version here.
